Thirty years later, he continues to race, teaching new crew members every season. He has sailed the San Juan Islands, Mexico, Florida and the Virgin Islands. Trevon began chartering bareboat many years ago and fell in love with the Virgin Islands. He has acquired multiple ASA Instructor certifications and his USCG Captain License, furthering his passion to share the sailing lifestyle. Captain Barry White
“I love meeting new sailors and not only teaching them but learning from their experiences.”
I have lived in the Midwest all my life, from city to rural. It wasn’t until I started dating my soon to be wife that her brother took us waterskiing on a little lake in Topeka that I found my joy of being on the lake! I’m married with three kids who are all out of the house as of recently. Our weeknights and weekends have been spent out on the boat with the kids. Five years ago, a good friend of mine invited me out on his sailboat and I was all in! Coming from a construction background, the mechanics of working with the boat however the wind will allow is amazing! I’ve been sailing the lakes of the Midwest and the cruising waters of the Virgin Islands in the Caribbean acquiring ASA certifications. I particularly enjoy seeing the joy that sailing brings others as they find new adventures.

Captain Genevieve Evans
“Salt is the cure for everything, sweat, tears, and the sea.”
Captain Genevieve is the founder of Go Sail Virgin Islands. Captain G feels that good sailing captains are good leaders with communication, understanding, empathy, planning, organizing, listening, and command of the situation.
Captain G is originally from Montana. Captain G has raced, taught, and sailed in Montana, the Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Martinique, St. Lucia, the Bahamas, and Belize on small and large cruising monohulls and catamarans for over a decade.
Owning two sailing schools keeps Captain G busy. She spends summers managing Go Sail Flathead Lake — and winters Go Sail Virgin Islands.
Teaching sailing became Captain G’s purpose through sailing voyages, when she realized she is the person that walks towards the fire, not away. When the opportunity to lead the life of a sailor, filled with epic adventure, a bit of the unknown, she grabbed this purpose unicorn and set sail for the horizon.
Captain Genevieve holds a 50 TON Near Costal USCG license and is an ASA Master Instructor with STCW II/3.
