The 2025 Annapolis Sailboat Show has wrapped up and Go Sail took away so many great experiences from the show. Here are a few of the 2025 Annapolis Sailboat Show highlights we recommend sailors learn more about if they weren’t able to make the show this year!
The Best New Sailing Gear of 2026
Cruising Solutions came out with a new piece of sailing gear that they showcased at the 2025 Annapolis Sailboat Show. They call them “Marriage Savers” and they are a piece of equipment we are looking forward to seeing more of on the water in 2026. These Bluetooth, wireless headsets allow sailors to relay information from the bow to the helm. It’s a great new innovation to improve sailing communication in 2026!
The Best Annapolis Sailboat Show Seminar
Our favorite Annapolis Sailboat Show seminar was a “wind vs wifi” panel discussion that discussed whether people should learn to sail by watching videos or if they need an instructor. What we took away from the discussion is that it is wise to use both! There is no replacement for hands-on learning, like the American Sailing courses we offer with Go Sail Virgin Islands. However, there is also a place for engaging and quick online content. That’s why we produce videos like these! The Newest Sailing Innovations
We were incredibly impressed by the Outer Passage balance catamarans sailed our friends Darren and Amanda! They have carbon fiber rigging— and carbon fiber toilets too!
Celebrity Sightings at the Annapolis Sailboat Show
A-list celebrities could have been at the 2025 Annapolis Sailboat Show but we wouldn’t have noticed. We were too busy paying attention to the sailing celebrities we know from YouTube, sailboat races, and the reality TV show “Below Deck Sailing Yacht.” We caught up with Glenn Shephard, the captain of Parsifal III on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” and enjoyed hearing his sailing perspective!
